Do you ship the DNA test kit?
Yes. The at-home saliva kit ships internationally. Delivery options and the final total are shown at checkout.
Are reports available in English?
Yes. Reports in the Eligens app are available in English. They are informational and are not a diagnosis.
What will the Ancestry test tell me?

How accurate are ancestry estimates?
Your genetic data is compared with reference data. Ethnic composition is an estimate and is shown with context for interpretation.
What is the difference between ethnic composition and direct lines?
Direct paternal and maternal lines represent two specific branches of your ancestry and are different from your full ethnic composition. Maternal-line results are available to everyone through mitochondrial DNA. Direct paternal Y-DNA results require a Y chromosome; customers without one can explore that line by testing a suitable paternal relative.
Can I find relatives?
Genetic-relative matching is optional. Choose whether to participate.
Where do I receive my results?
After laboratory processing and quality control, results are made available in the Eligens app.
What happens to my sample and where is my data stored?
After quality control, the remaining biological material is permanently destroyed. Genetic data is encrypted during transmission and storage, kept on protected AWS and Google infrastructure in Germany, and processed in accordance with GDPR. Eligens does not sell personal genetic data.
